One fat geek's SUCCESSFUL attempt to regenerate into a not-so-fat geek by watching the entirety of Doctor Who while walking on a treadmill

Doctor McDee Has Died. Again. Finally

Doctor McDee Has Died. Again. Finally

I rubbed a raw spot on the back of my left heel this morning on the treadmill. So that's nice. I put some moleskin on it, and then proceeded to spend all afternoon walking around Epcot with my autistic son. At some point the moleskin came off without me noticing, and now I have a HUGE raw spot. So that's especially nice. On the upside, my daily numbers were good today even if my moving average looks awful. On the bigger upside, I had an inspiration today as to where I need to go with this ridiculous project, and I am truly excited. You'll just have to stay tuned to find out. I also finished Assignment Five of Sapphire & Steel, this morning, so there's that...

Sapphire & Steel: Assignment 5 a.k.a. Doctor McDee Must Die, Episodes 5 & 6

Lately in the evening I have been re-watching Babylon 5. It's one of my all-time favorite shows, and it has been far too long since I have watched it. Randomly and unexpectedly, the episode I watched last night had David McCallum in a featured guest role. It would have been filmed about ten years after Sapphire & Steel, and he still had it. Just a great, great performance. So that, as I mentioned before, was nice.

As for the end of the fifth story, well... I didn't like it any better than the beginning or the middle. Most of the very last episode had the titular Doctor McDee continually coming up against his apparent demise, only for it to be a fake out. His wife shot him! Oh, no, I guess she didn't. His partner stabbed him! Oh, no, not that either. His butler poisoned him! No, of course not. Finally, and blessedly, his mistress shot him but only because he jumped between the bullet and its intended target of his wife. A happy ending! Or, at least, an ending. finally.

I am very much looking forward to tomorrow's story, with the return of the series creator. I know absolutely nothing about the story itself, I haven't even peeked at the title, but I know that it features the return of Silver, so that's good enough for me.

Stay tuned as the week goes on, while I figure out how to announce the next phase of this ridiculous project. I am genuinely thrilled.
