Keeping this one brief, because it's late in the day and I want to go to bed. Also, today's two episodes of The Invasion really just finish setting up the main story.

Let's talk about that.

The Invasion - Episodes 3 & 4

The third episode of the story is a vacation week for Zoe, so the entire thing is spent with the Doctor and Jamie going round and round with the JamesBondian bad guy. By episode four they have finally spoken to Professor Watkins and learned about how eeeevil International Electromatics is, and also found out where Zoe and Isobel Watkins are being held. This culminates in a very JamesBondian daring helicopter rescue with the aid of UNIT. And then, in the final moments, the real Big Bad is finally revealed:  the Cybermen! Dun dun DUN!

The cool thing is, this is the very first appearance of what we now consider to be the classic Cyberman look. In each of their previous appearances they have changed quite a bit as they were refined, but this design is the one that lasts right through to the end of the classic series. This may be their fifth story, but it is absolutely the one that truly defines them and sticks.

Now that the Cybermen are on the scene, things should start really cranking tomorrow.
