This is gonna be short, because I am tired and because this was a depressingly mediocre Torchwood episode. Blech.

From Out of the Rain

Weird, I remember liking this one a lot more the first time around.

The story in a nutshell is that some Kreepy Karny People somehow became trapped on celluloid, and somehow the act of projecting that film in a real movie theater allows them to escape and begin "stealing the last breath" from a a series of victims. Said breath is stored in some magical silver flask. Ultimately Jack figures out that if he just films the bad guys again on celluloid and then overexposes that celluloid in sunlight, then the back guys will all just evaporate (huh?).So he does. But five of the six victims die anyway. The only survivor is a very young boy, who now gets to grow up as an orphan knowing that his entire family was murdered by literal movie monsters. So... a happy ending?

I dunno. There are some decently creepy visuals in this one, and the core of a good story idea, but it just never feels more than half thought out. It just didn't do much for me.

But hey, at least I weighed in lighter than the day before, so at least I've got that going for me. Which is nice.
