One fat geek's SUCCESSFUL attempt to regenerate into a not-so-fat geek by watching the entirety of Doctor Who while walking on a treadmill

A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken

Just a short update today, because I have to get ready for a show rehearsal. But I did watch me some Blake's 7 on the Time Treadmill this morning, so let's get this done.

Mission to Destiny

(Blake's 7 Wiki Recap)

Meh. I didn't dislike the episode, but it was certainly my least favorite so far. It is essentially an Agatha Christie pastiche in which Avon plays the part of Hercule Poirot. The Liberator comes across a freighter going in circles in deep space, Upon teleporting over, Blake and company finds one dead guy and a bunch of sleeping crew members. The ship was transporting some Whatever Technology to save their home planet from turning into a giant mushroom or something, and somebody on board has decided to steal the Whatever Technology and sell it for profit while their planet dies a fungal death. While Blake rushes off heroically in the Liberator with the magic cure to save the planet, Avon tries to repair the freighter and identify the killer as the bodies continue to pile up. In the end it turns out to be whoever it turned out to be, not that anyone would care since these are all disposable characters who exist only to be suspects and/or corpses. The guilty party gets blown up, the antifungal Whatever Technology gets rescued, roll credits.

The only remotely interesting thing about this story is that it features John Leeson as one of the interchangeable crew members. You would know him better as the voice of K9.  I didn't even recognize him while I was watching it.

As for me, I continue to be pleased by the trend line on the chart on my homepage here. I don't know that I have any real chance of hitting my insane goal of weighing in below 260 before the end of the month, but it seems like I'll come pretty dang close. So that's good by me.
