I told you to stand by, not lie down
Eighty push-ups today! Granted, I broke early on in the final set, so I am not ready to increase yet. But still, I completed eighty push-ups in five sets of sixteen, and that's not nothing. It is also my fourteenth wedding anniversary, and my wife and I are running away tonight for a short getaway. I don't expect to work out tomorrow. For today, though, I spent some more quality time with Blake's 7.
(Blake's 7 Wiki Recap)
Interesting episode. The A plot is that the ship comes across a giant mechanical / computer world, run by a giant (and growing) organic brain and operated by a trio of bald, silver aliens. The titular Ultraworld is on a never ending mission to learn everything there is to learn in the universe - kind of a Borg-meets-Veejur sort of thing. Meanwhile, the B plot has Vila trying to teach Orac humor. By which I mean puns, which barely count as humor, but there you have it. Stuff happens, some other stuff happens, and in the end Vila is the hero because Orac force-feeds the Ultraworld brain a never ending stream of Vila's nonsense. Big brain blows up, Liberator escapes, roll credits.
Much like the previous episode, the summary does not do it justice. This was a really nifty design, and gave the crew a different kind of conflict to overcome. After so many Federation / Servalan stories, it's nice to take a break and let the writers play around in the wider universe.
