One fat geek's SUCCESSFUL attempt to regenerate into a not-so-fat geek by watching the entirety of Doctor Who while walking on a treadmill

So then this hurricane happened...

Don't Bury the Lede - Part 1: Today I took my five millionth step since starting this ridiculous project. How cool is that?!?

Don't Bury the Lede - Part 2: Today I crossed back below 30 lbs lost for the first time since the spring of 2017. How crappy is that?!?

There's just no tiptoeing around this, I am extremely frustrated with myself. I lost focus over a year ago, not coincidentally around the time I actually completed viewing the main series and started in on the spinoffs. Since then I have had a few false starts at making forward progress again, but then something happens and a slide backwards even further. I am honestly terrified that in a few more months I will end up right back where I started. I just can't allow that to happen. The past month has been particularly daunting, in that I was away from home for nearly three weeks, and then not long after I got home we had an incoming hurricane. For the better part of a week it seemed like Dorian was headed directly for us, before it took its right-hand turn and walked up the coast instead. We were thankfully spared any impacts here, although parts of the Bahamas were devastated and I feel awful about that.

So where do I go now? I keep telling myself I need to get back to the basics. Tomorrow morning I will watch the final episode of Blake's 7. After that I have about a week to spend on watching some various animated Doctor Who stories, and then I intend to watch Sapphire & Steele which is (much like Blake's 7) a show produced by several Who alumni and created in roughly the same Classic Who time period.

I have gotten away from posting here every day, and I feel like maybe that accountability is part of what has been missing. So I am going to strive to get back to posting about my journey here every night, come what may. I am also going to strive to get strength training back into the mix. It is sixteen weeks until the end of the year. I am pushing for what should be a very-achievable goal of getting back to 260 before the end of the year. Once I finish Sapphire & Steele I am thinking about a complete re-watch starting back at An Unearthly Child but this time watching everything in broadcast order. That doesn't mean much for the classic series, aside from slipping in K9 & Company where it belongs, but that means when I get to the modern stuff I will be jumping around between Doctor WhoTorchwoodThe Sarah Jane Adventures, and K9 in time with when they were broadcast. Also, more and more of the BluRay season sets are coming out, so I will have those to watch.

OH! I almost forgot! Of my entire DVD collection, the one story that was galling to me was The Web Planet as it went out of print before I could get it. It was my one missing gap. Just a few weeks ago it went back into print, so now I have it again. I am so excited! Also the animated reconstruction of The Macra Terror will be out in the United States next month, and the animated reconstruction of The Faceless Ones is coming in just a few months. So on my grand rewatch I will have those to view instead of the Loose Canon reconstructions, so that will be nice. Now if only they would do an animated reconstruction of Marco Polo...

As for what I have been watching the past two weeks, here's the list. I don't much feel motivated to talk about them. I love Blake's 7, I am glad I decided to watch it, but I am also glad to be done with it as of tomorrow. I need me some actual Doctor Who, and I am exited about watching these animated stories next week. Most of them, I have actually never seen.

Hopefully maybe this time I will stay back on track?
