So, I spent the day today wearing my son's clothes. How weird is that? Seriously, because of Reasons, I wound up wearing a pair of his shorts and one of his t-shirts, and they fit my just fine. My Mini-Me is just... me I guess. I also didn't do my workout until evening because frankly I was just too dang lazy to get out of bet at 6am. I can't miss any more days, though. I have counted it out, and if I do not skip any more days then i will finish on Sunday, August 5th. I only have one day for wiggle room, because on Tuesday the 7th I fly to Las Vegas for work and I absolutely want to finish this ridiculous project before I go.

You know, I really gotta start writing these things earlier in the day...

More than fourteen months later, and I have finally arrived at the episode that kind of inspired this entire ridiculous project.That cute little marshmallow guy to the left of my post titles? That's an Adipose baby. Weight loss through parthenogenesis. Sadly, I am not able to just take a little pill and be thinner, I have had to earn it the hard way through honest sweat. That's ok, though. If feels good to have gotten here.

So let's talk about it.

Sometimes life comes up with amazing little synchronicities, perfect little coincidences that come out of nowhere and make you smile. This morning, after doing 130 pushups (holy crap!) and then walking over four miles on the treadmill, I arrived at Rose Tyler's big emotional departure. She walked out onto the beach at Bad Wolf Bay in Norway, the Doctor appeared, and then... the DVD glitched and hung up. I tried to take the disc out and clean whatever smudge was causing the problem, but my sweaty hands only made it worse. So that's how I said goodbye to the Sainted Rose today, by shrugging and thinking, "Ah, well, I remember how it ended. Goodbye."

How it should have ended...

I really gotta get these things written early in the day. Here I am, ten o'clock at night, I want to go to bed, and I still have a post to write. I was buried all day at work, and then had a swell evening out with my wife, and now here I am staring at a computer screen half-awake.

So let's talk Doctor Who so I can get some sleep.

I am so tired right now. I've been awake since 4:30am. At 5:45am I finally gave up, got out of bed, and did 114 pushups before hitting the treadmill. That just seems surreal. I can't go to bed quite yet, I've got a software release to do in about ninety minutes. So in the meantime let's talk Doctor Who.

Happy Sunday! In just a little while I will be taking my (adult autistic) son off to Epcot to meet Alice in Wonderland and Snow White, which is a typical weekend around here. Nothing much else exciting going on here today, so I'll get right down to talking about Doctor Who.

You know, I've been sitting here for almost a half hour trying to think about something to say about today, and I got nuthin'. So let's talk Doctor Who so I can go to bed.

So, the big thing today: I actually did 100 pushups this morning!! I absolutely did not expect to be able to do it, but there it is. When I started the 100 Pushups program on February 20th I could do a grand total of three. Forty five days later, and I hit my goal. How cool is that? I have definitely seen a change in my upper body. I am very, very happy with this progress.

I also watched a really good episode of Doctor Who this morning, so let's talk about that.

This morning when I started my scheduled pushup program, I knew there was no way I would hit the targets. It was a flatly ridiculous notion that I could do 88 pushups. And then... I did 88 pushups! So that was a nice way to start my day. Unfortunately, I got started on that so late that I had to put off my treadmill time until almost 9pm.

But I got it done, so let's talk about it.
